Caprese Salad
(mozzarella cheese and tomato salad)

Ingredients:
- 4 tomatoes - about 1 lb (450 gr), firm and not too ripe
- 1/2 lb (200 gr) fresh mozzarella cheese
- 8 basil leaves
- Salt and pepper
- 3 - 4 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
Preparation:
- Slice tomatoes and mozzarella 1/4-inch (5 mm) thick.
- Alternate tomato and cheese slices in a plate.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper and top with the olive oil.
- Crush the basil leaves in two-three pieces with your fingers and place on top of the tomatoes.
